The United Nations has declared May 21 as International Tea Day.

We will present below the reasons why tea should be in our daily routine.
Tea is more than just a drink…

A cup of tea has a lot of flavonoids, important vitamins and trace elements, where they act as catalysts in the positive effect of metabolism. Tea improves our mood; it supports our mental health. Mental relaxation reduces the heartbeat and relieves us from the anxiety and stress of the intense everyday life we experience. Also, we should mention that (green) tea is a natural ally against cardiovascular diseases, because it contains anti-inflammatory properties that contribute to softening the tissues in the arteries. Because of the to its beneficial properties, prevent diabetes which has been a scourge for the last centuries.

Specifically, polyphenols regulate the absorption of sugar by the body.

The tea contributes to:

  • longevity
  • enhances memory
  • mental health
  • lowers cholesterol
  • prevent diabetes
  • lowers blood pressure
  • supports weight loss
  • may reduce the risk of stroke

For these reasons, we will present you our favorite iced tea recipe that, combined with Veluda pure filtered water, you will enjoy the best result with your loved ones and will have a pleasant summer experience.

  1. Pour warm filtered Veluda water into a jug.
  2. We add two to three bags of our favorite tea for two minutes.
At this part, we can place pieces of various fresh fruits that we already have in our fridge, such as strawberries, cherries, apricots, pomegranate seeds, and for the most daring... a piece of chopped ginger, to get that spark in the taste!
  3. While the aromatic mixture is hot, if we want our decoction to acquire a sweet note, add sugar or honey. Finally, place it in the refrigerator until it cools down.

Extra tip!

Garnish it with ice and thin slices of lemon or lime and with a few sprigs of mint! Enjoy it with your best buddies! The aromatic, fruity tea will give you bright skin and keep you hydrated.
